2013 SAWS Festival: Congratulations Amber & Isaac

I am so proud of Amber and Isaac, who both played beautifully in the Honors Recital at our State Suzuki Association Festival in Ellensburg the second weekend in October! They each earned the honor of performing in this recital by submitting a recording of themselves playing Minuet 2 by Bach--the graduation piece for Level 1--and attaining the very high standards of excellence necessary to "pass" or "graduate" Level 1. And yes, they got trophies!

SAWS Festival: A Quick Recap

I thoroughly enjoyed the SAWS Festival in Ellensburg this past weekend! It is always fun to reunite with teaching colleagues that come to the Festival each year, and to meet some new teachers as well.

This year's Piano Clinician, Jane Reed, presented an incredibly inspiring and motivational teacher workshop on Friday, and I have many new ideas that I am excited to implement in the studio.

October 12-13, 2012 – 33rd Annual Washington State Suzuki Festival!

Every October the Suzuki Association of Washington State (SAWS) invites students and teachers from all over our state to a two-day festival at the beautiful Central Washington University campus in Ellensburg. Students and their families attend on Saturday, for a day filled with lots of exciting and motivating classes for students of all ages and abilities, as well as opportunities to make new Suzuki friends.
